Like other RV parks there is highway noise, but all it takes is a fan to drown it out. We never had a problem sleeping, and we were the closet to the highway you can be. The park is serene. While here we saw deer, chipmunks, song birds, moles, and caught fish in the pond. We stayed here three weeks. Only downside is the price. They will not work with you on long term prices. If you try to go monthly they want you to pay electricity instead of making it a package, and when it all comes down to it, it equals out the same, $32 a night. They still did not have cable. However, the cable company was out there working on it while we were there, so soon. We would stay again.
We attempted to stay here. The Cabin rented to us was something out of a horror movie. It was old, unkempt, smelly, and scary. The building was fine but the inside and furnishings, well the Salvation Army would not accept them. It was so unacceptable that we counted it as a loss and left. Disgusting and not even an option. Look up other options in town.
We stayed overnight and we really liked this park. Thoughtful park with personal fire pits, decking, and tables & chairs at each site. Country atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. Will stay again.
You can not beat having such a view when you are backed up next to the "lake". We stayed here for 2 months or so and we would stay again but it is not because of the owner. He was lucky enough to buy a gem but he is the farthest thing from "customer oriented" people person. He was unfriendly and rude. However, the park is worth the stay. The websites portrays it as a "tropical resort" and that is unrealistic. A couple random palm trees do not make it tropical. It is a mostly peaceful country park (yes there are deer, fish, and golfing near by and the faint smell of chicken houses) and the Best option in Nacogdoches. Will stay again.
We enjoyed the park and its location. Yes, the sites are narrow but any size rig can get in and out with little to no effort. Cute park with creek on backside, pond, mini golf, and pool. Seems family oriented and is dog oriented with plenty of clean up areas. Only downside is there are only 4 washers and dryers for all 90 sites. We paid for a month and it came to about 13 a night.
We stayed here for 3 months for work. It is one of two RV parks in town however the other is just a parking lot. The owners are great and very willing to help any time they can. I would not consider the park a "destination park" but its good for overnights, weekends to visit family, or to live in.
The Boat ramp makes the stay worth the hassle. The owner has very little to do with the park and the management has changed hands since our stay. The park is good for an overnight stay or even a weekend stay however long term stays beware. Nicely put, the management is too involved in everyones lives and they leave little room for a quiet private stay. There is no swimming allowed from the boat ramps and they charge to store your boat.
Nice Owners. Clean & Neat little park. Good for a stay over or long term but not ness. for a fun filled family time. In other words, not a vacation spot. Has an older trailer park next door and though some of the travel trailers in the park look ancient, everything is clean, neat, well maintained, and safe. Only 10 minutes from Searcy and minutes away from a great place to eat called "Who Dats".
We stayed here for only 3 days and I enjoyed the ducks! It had a lot of spots and though they were closer together than I like it was fine. It has a big pond, lots of ducks, and has a brilliant glow at night. :) Also within 30 minutes to the Lake Charles casinos. I enjoyed it and would stay again.
Loved this park. It was clean and spacious. We stayed for 3 months due to work and it was very nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to Lafayette, 45 minutes from Coushatta and 1 hour from Lake Charles. Would stay again in a heart beat.
